How to use hair oil correctly
Used right, hair oil adds shine and suppleness; used wrong, it just looks greasy. We show the simple rules , for lengths, ends and a treatment.
The how-toLengths and ends, not the roots
Hair oil belongs mainly in the lengths and ends, where hair is older and drier. At the roots it quickly looks greasy. Fine hair needs only a tiny amount; thick or curly hair tolerates a little more.
Argan and jojoba are popular for shine; coconut and castor oil for richer treatments.

Two simple ways
- For shine (daily): warm one or two drops in your palms, smooth over the lengths and ends of dry hair.
- As a treatment (occasional): work a little more oil into lengths and ends, leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, then wash out with shampoo, twice if needed.
- Start small: you can always add more, but too much is hard to wash out.
Said honestly
Hair oil is care, not a remedy for hair loss or scalp problems , that is for a medical practice. We make no effect promises. What works depends on your hair type, so test with a small amount and adjust. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
