Single essential oils in portrait
Every oil has its own character and use. We introduce the most important ones , with effect, use and the necessary safety notes.
The key oilsLavender , the all-rounder
Lavender oil is considered the most versatile essential oil. It has a calming effect, is popular for relaxation and better sleep and is comparatively mild. Still, the rule applies: best used diluted, for example in a carrier oil or in the diffuser.
Anyone starting out with essential oils is usually best served with a good, pure lavender.

Other important oils
- Peppermint: refreshing and focus-boosting, popular for head and digestion topics. Do not use on the face of infants and small children.
- Tea tree: known for antiseptic care of blemished skin, always diluted and never ingested.
- Eucalyptus: a classic for the airways, also not suitable for small children.
- Lemon & orange: fresh and mood-lifting, good for room scent. Citrus oils can be phototoxic, so avoid the sun after skin contact.
- Rosemary: stimulating and invigorating, less suitable in the evening.
Use safely
As different as the oils are, the basic rules apply to all: never neat on the skin, always dilute, do not ingest, keep away from eyes and mucous membranes, and be especially careful with pregnancy, small children and pets. Look for pure oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
