Sea buckthorn oil: the bright orange vitamin oil
From the pulp or seeds of the sea buckthorn berry, intense in colour and smell. We show where it fits.
How to use itTwo kinds, powerful colour
Sea buckthorn oil comes as pulp oil (deep red-orange, very rich in carotenoids) and as seed oil (lighter, with a different fatty-acid profile). Both are rich in valuable accompanying compounds and very intense in colour.
That strong colour stains skin and fabric, so it is usually used heavily diluted.
How it is used
- Skin care: by the drop in creams and oils, for dry and stressed skin.
- Dilute heavily: neat it clearly stains, a few drops in a neutral base oil are enough.
- Kitchen, sparingly: the pulp oil is occasionally used by the drop over food, never heated.
- Store cool: dark and cool, tightly closed.
Said honestly
Sea buckthorn oil is often sold as a little miracle, and what really stands out is its accompanying compounds and its care effect on dry skin. It is care, not treatment, and we make no healing promises. The intense colour is real, so use it sparingly and diluted, and mind your clothes. For skin problems, see a professional. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
