Gua Sha with oil: how to do it gently
A facial massage tool needs a good slip , which is exactly what an oil provides. We show the simple steps and which oils suit.
The how-toThe oil makes it glide
A Gua Sha stone needs slip so it does not drag the skin. A facial oil provides that glide. Choose a light, low-comedogenic oil that suits your skin , jojoba is a safe all-rounder.
Work gently: this is a light massage, not a workout for the face.

Step by step
- 1. Cleanse the face and apply a few drops of facial oil so the skin is slightly slick.
- 2. Hold the stone almost flat to the skin, at a small angle.
- 3. Glide gently outward and upward, a few light strokes per area, without pressing hard.
- 4. Work from the centre outward, jaw and cheeks up towards the ears, neck downward.
- 5. Clean the stone afterwards.
Said honestly
Gua Sha can feel relaxing and helps the oil spread, but we make no health or anti-aging promises , claims about lifting or detox go beyond the evidence. Be gentle, avoid active blemishes and broken skin, and stop if it irritates. For real skin concerns, see a dermatologist. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
