What it is
A fine oil with plant omega-3
Walnut oil is pressed from walnuts and has an intense, nutty flavour. It provides plant omega-3 (ALA) alongside omega-6, which makes its profile attractive , but also makes it heat-sensitive.
It is a finishing oil for cold use, not for frying.

How to use it
- Cold only: over salads, pasta, cheese or desserts , a refined touch.
- Sparingly: the taste is strong, a little goes a long way.
- Keep it fresh: as an omega-3-rich oil it turns rancid quickly , store cool and dark, ideally in the fridge, and use up promptly.
- Allergy note: not for people with nut allergies.
Said honestly
Walnut oil is a delicious, omega-3-rich finishing oil, but it is sensitive and pricey, so buy small bottles and use them fresh. It is a tasty addition, not a health supplement, and we make no health promises. Never heat it. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
