Essential oils in pregnancy: caution and moderation
In pregnancy, special rules apply. We sort it out factually and safely.
To the rulesConcentrated substances, a special situation
Essential oils are highly concentrated, and in pregnancy the body often reacts more sensitively. Some oils are considered critical, others rather unproblematic, and much is not conclusively researched.
That is why here, more than usual, it is better to be cautious and professionally accompanied.

Safe basic rules
- Professional advice first: ask your midwife or doctor before using essential oils.
- Never ingest: internal use is taboo in pregnancy.
- Dilute strongly and sparingly: on the skin only very diluted and in small amounts.
- Scent briefly and ventilated: use a diffuser only briefly and in well-ventilated rooms.
- When in doubt, leave it out: if unclear, better to abstain.
Said honestly
In pregnancy, restraint is the safest line: little, strongly diluted, never ingested and always professionally accompanied. We deliberately give no list of healing uses here and make no healing promises, because the individual situation belongs in expert hands. We give you the facts, the decision stays with you.
